FAQ's
What should I wear?
Most people start off in their jogging
bottoms, a vest top or T-shirt and a pair of trainers. As the weeks
go on, you may want to wear cropped pants or shorts and a skimpier
top as this does help with grip on the pole. As feeling sexy and
confident is an important part of fitness pole dancing, the key is to
feel comfortable in what you're wearing. If you don't feel
comfortable in shorts then always wear your tracksuit, but if you
feel sexier with less clothes on, then this is what will work better
for you.
You may want to invest in some dance shoes as the weeks go
on, as pointing your toes helps make moves look more graceful and
this is often difficult in trainers.
Why shouldn't I wear any body lotion?
If you wear anything on your skin,
including body lotion, fake tan and hand cream it will seriously
effect your ability to grip the pole and you will just slide off.
What if I'm not strong enough to hold
my body weight?
People very rarely manage all the moves
on the pole without some practice initially. Week by week you will
feel improvements to your upper body and core strength and the spins
and lifts will become easier. Fitness Pole Dancing will help build
your strength and muscle tone.
